In Whose Name?

For six turbulent years, filmmaker Nicolas Ballesteros immersed himself in the orbit of Ye (formerly Kanye West), capturing over 3,000 hours of raw footage that traces the artist’s meteoric highs and devastating lows. In Whose Name? offers an unflinching vérité portrait of a visionary mind at work—and in crisis—as Ye wrestles with fame, faith, mental health, and identity while the world watches his every move. From intimate family conversations and creative breakthroughs to public controversies that sparked outrage and severed partnerships, the film chronicles a genius both illuminated and undone by his extremes.
